Deputy Minister Sangu Applauds PBPA for Ensuring Steady Fuel Supply

Dodoma, June 20, 2025 – The Deputy Minister in the President’s Office—Public Service Management and Good Governance, Hon. Deus Sangu, has commended the Petroleum Bulk Procurement Agency (PBPA) for its effective coordination and consistent efforts in ensuring the availability of petroleum products across the country.
Hon. Sangu made the remarks during his visit to the PBPA pavilion at the ongoing Public Service Week exhibitions being held at Chinangali Park Grounds in Dodoma.
He highlighted that under PBPA’s oversight, Tanzania has seen a significant improvement in fuel supply stability due to enhanced management practices and strengthened national energy security.
“PBPA has put in place an effective system that has eliminated fuel shortages in our country. We no longer experience fuel crises, and even when neighboring countries face challenges, we continue to maintain adequate reserves,” Hon. Sangu stated.
The Deputy Minister further noted that the reliable operations of PBPA have enabled the President of the United Republic of Tanzania to continue delivering services to citizens in a stable environment, thanks to the uninterrupted flow of fuel.
In addition, Hon. Sangu reassured the agency of his office’s continued support, affirming that the President’s Office—Public Service Management and Good Governance is prepared to assist PBPA on any matters within its jurisdiction whenever required.
PBPA is one of the key government institutions participating in the 2025 Public Service Week, showcasing its role in coordinating bulk procurement of petroleum and contributing to national development through secure and transparent fuel supply systems.
